About/contact me
Hello, I’m Wayne Ford. (But you probably already knew that).
I’m a former Design Director of Haymarket Business Media, where I was responsible for the overall creative direction, development and brand identity of the group’s 30 plus brands, across offices in London and Hong Kong; and an art director of The Observer’s award winning colour magazine. I now run my own design studio, working across the gamut of visual communication, design strategy and management, in both print and digital channels.
To date, I’ve created launch designs, and redesigns for over fifty magazines, across the sphere of media, including, consumer, business and customer titles; along with designs for annual reports, books, exhibition catalogues, corporate branding projects, and websites.
My design work has received many awards, including, D&AD, Art Directors Club, Society of Publication Designers, Type Directors Club, Society of News Design, and Periodical Publishers Association (PPA); and been published in numerous books and periodicals, and exhibited internationally.
My interest in photography is both personal and professional. As an art director I have worked with some of the biggest names in the business, and helped launch the careers of many others. And on a personal level I'm a collector.
I am a member of D&AD, the Typographic Circle, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
